The golf tournament included 153 golfers, the event’s largest turnout to date. The tournament was sponsored by Cresa, EJCM Construction Management, Encompass Health, Wall Development, Fortis Law Partners, Fuicelli & Lee Injury Lawyers as well as The Smile Generation, Ruut Consulting, WireNut Home Services, Sara’s Sausage and Unique Properties. Paul founded Cathleen’s Cause Golf Tournament in 2013 in honor of his wife Cathleen Schmidt who suffered a severe brain injury from a fall in their home. Since Cathleen passed away in 2016, he has continued to host the event with 100 percent of the proceeds going to benefit BIAC. “This money will allow us to continue to support approximately 500,000 individuals living with the effects of a brain injury in Colorado as well as fulfill our vision that all persons with a brain injury thrive in their community, said Paul Herzog.  “I know Cathleen would be very honored that this event not only celebrates her life but also provides support for so many in our community.”

The 10th Annual Cathleen’s Cause/BIAC Golf Tournament will be held in May of 2023. For more information on the tournament and BIAC please visit BIAColorado.org
