As part of a long-term location strategy, Northwest Neurosurgical Associates, a well-established neuro surgeon team in the Portland metro, was evaluating a potential relocation of its clinic, located in Tualatin, to reduce drive times and provide better access to hospital systems. As such, the team decided to relocate the clinic into Legacy’s Emanuel Hospital campus in North Portland. With a deep vision of creating a unique space that provided a warm, northwest, residential feel, the goal was to use neutral finishes with natural reclaimed wood elements to give it that Pacific Northwest vibe.
Results
After very thorough design and visioning sessions, in order to capture the clinic’s visions, the design team and Cresa’s project management team went to work to make the clinic’s vision a reality. Due to the uniqueness of the project, Cresa’s project management team took a very thoughtful communication path between all parties to ensure a streamlined delivery of the project, to also ensure on-time delivery for the clinic to begin receiving patients. With the delivery of the clinic taking place during the holiday, the team was able to obtain a temporary certificate of occupancy, allowing the clinic to relocate and close their existing clinic, while avoiding any significant delays. The new clinic exhibits an environment that deliberately combines a warm residential feel for patients, with a thoughtful and practical space for the clinic to operate efficiently for its business.Related
