HOUSTON, Oct. 10, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Just months after hiring a new principal to build its industrial services specialty in Houston, Cresa announced the addition of three consultants to its recently relaunched industrial brokerage team.
Effective immediately, Tim Thomas joins Cresa's Houston office as a vice president, as fellow new hires Kayla Black and Ben Sample join the firm as advisors. All were hand-picked by Will Condrey, who was hired as a principal from Cushman & Wakefield in April to oversee the expansion of the team.
"These additions really bolster our brokerage roster as we look to quickly gain market share in a very competitive corporate real estate market," said Condrey "And we're not done. Our office is continuing its search for top talent and plans to make additional hires in the near future."
Thomas brings 20 years of commercial real estate experience, including 10 as a consultant at Cushman & Wakefield. During his career he has completed more than 250 transactions, totaling more than 20,000 acres of land and 1 MSF of space.
Thomas was a member of the team awarded the 2014 NAIOP Industrial Deal of the Year for the sale of Cedar Crossing Industrial Park, now known as Cedar Port Industrial Park. The 10,987-acre deal ranks as one of the single largest in Houston's history.
"I feel strongly that Cresa's tenant-only platform and in-house resources will enable me to even better service my clients," Thomas said. "Cresa is focused on continuing to grow globally and I am excited to be a part of that growth here in Houston."
Black has four years of commercial real estate experience, cutting her teeth in the industry at Cushman & Wakefield. In her new role she will be primarily focusing on transaction management and business development.
Prior to joining Cresa, Sample worked in sales and client relations for Cameron. His background gives him a unique insight into the many business drivers affecting oil and oilfield services companies today. Sample will focus primarily on transaction management and business development.
André Granello, managing principal of Cresa's Houston office, said that these additions were key to growing the company's presence in the market.
"We are on pace for a strong 2018, but these hires should help us exceed our growth expectations in the coming years," Granello said. "We have a talented core of advisors in place and are well positioned for aggressively expanding our footprint in the market."
