Cresa Represents High Road Craft Ice Cream in 78,000 Square Foot Lease Renewal

High Road Craft Ice Cream, makers of culinary-inspired handcrafted ice cream and other sweets, has renewed its 78,000 square foot distribution center at 1730 W. Oak Court. Brooks Morris and Andy Roberts of Cresa Global Inc., the world’s only global commercial real estate advisory firm that exclusively represents occupiers, represented High Road in the lease renewal.

High Road Craft Ice Cream Renewal

High Road is more than just an ice cream manufacturer, it’s a company made by culinary artists. The brand prides itself in being chef-driven as its team of innovators tweak flavors to create the best experience for customers. High Road makes it all happen out of its distribution centers in Marietta, Georgia and Sheboygan, Wisconsin. The company has laid its roots at the Marietta facility since 2013.

Nicki Schroeder, Co-Founder and Chief Brand Officer of High Road, explains “Ice cream companies usually bring in their inclusions from outside vendors. So, if your chocolate chunks are coming from a vendor and you’re not quite happy with them they’re going to say, ‘that’s our chocolate chunk.’ If our chefs feel they can tweak the chocolate to create an even better experience for our customers, they’ll tweak it and it’ll be in the ice cream tomorrow. We can continually improve every single day everything that we do.”

High Road engaged Cresa to secure long-term control of its headquarter space. Morris and Roberts successfully accomplished renewal terms and achieved concessions from the landlord that reduced capital expenditures by approximately 40%. The company agreed to continue occupying the space in the first quarter of 2021 for a term of two years.

High Road recently hired Sam Peng from Cresa’s Project Management team to help expand their production capabilities. The company’s new equipment will make approximately 300 stick ice cream bars per minute. Peng will provide project management services throughout the whole process with expected delivery at the beginning of 2022.

“Andy and Brooks did a great job listening to our needs and helping formulate a strategic plan to better serve the next stage of High Road’s growth,” said Keith Schroeder, CEO of High Road. “They executed a transaction that exceeded our expectations. In addition, we are excited to be working with Sam Peng who is in the process of executing our planned project management improvements.”

The property is located within close proximity to I-75 and I-285 with residential neighborhoods, hotels, and restaurants nearby.
