Business Manager

We are currently seeking an experienced, self-motivated Business Manager to support our thriving company. The Business Manager supports our office in daily administrative, marketing and operational support. This position is key to the success of all our team members, ensuring that they have the tools they need to continue to be Wisconsin’s largest tenant-only representation firm.

Qualified candidates will have excellent organizational and time management skills.

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Finance/Accounting (in conjunction with the Cresa Global Finance Team)

o Accounts payable

o Accounts receivable

o Payroll processing and management

o Review, approve and direct payment of commissions

o Track deal expenses

o Interact with Cresa Global Finance team on annual returns, shareholder amendments, share purchases and dispositions

o Continuously review expenditures and implement cost saving measures

o Review all financial statements and report irregularities to the Cresa Global Finance Team and Managing Principals.

  • Strategic Planning and Operations Management

o Coordinate regular bi-weekly meetings for staff

o Develop agenda and items for discussion

o Prepare all supporting documentation/analysis and presentation

o Document meeting discussion and decisions on action items

o Oversee corporate initiatives to include special events, marketing, training and planning

o Participate in Cresa monthly Business Managers’ conference calls

o Liaison with Cresa Global for issues regarding the business managers’ group, marketing, IT, and other ad hoc work groups as they are created

o Maintenance of physical office; oversee janitorial matters, coordinate relocations/expansion, procure office furniture, as needed

o Keep all supplies stocked; office supplies, snacks, beverages and miscellaneous

o Coordinate implementation and maintenance of computer-related operations

o Maintenance of telephone systems/office systems

o Monitor expenses

o Plan company events

o Negotiate and/or maintain contracts for local services, i.e phone, cable and internet

  • Human Resources

o Recruitment – provide for qualified staff to support and contribute to the needs of the organization

o Retention- provide training, compensation and motivation

o Termination – provide that ample documentation is in place and facilitate the exit interview/process

o Maintain employee database

o Supervise interns

o Maintain personnel files

o Oversee real estate licensing requirements for all Advisors

o Oversee administration of employee benefits

o Prepare and implement HR procedures and contracts

o Coordinate all on-boarding for employees and Advisors

  • Sales Support

o Maintain Salesforce and excel records for the purpose of tracking deals, forecasting and production/profitability reports for management

o Create and maintain Sublease Flyers

o Coordinate training for new Advisors, as needed

o Ensure that Advisors/Principals are receiving proper administrative support services

o Oversee and maintain marketing collateral supplies

o Communicate with real estate listing services to record and receive Advisor recognition on all real estate transactions

  • Public Relations/Marketing

o Perform quarterly marketing analysis

o Supervise the marketing manager; oversee advertising, PR and marketing efforts to comply with the Cresa brand

o Proofread and approve outbound messaging

o Plan and conduct local client events

o Research social media and launch campaigns, as needed

o Review and update content of website


  • Coordinate with Cresa Global, Inc.

o Assist Managing Principals with corporate level committee projects/assignments

o Actively participate on the national Marketing and Business Manager committees through monthly conference calls and meetings

o Attend and participate in the Annual Spring Meeting

o Assure compliance with corporate reporting requirements

o Coordinate with Cresa Global on advertising and PR matters

Minimum five (5) years of office management experience required, real estate or other professional services firm experience preferred but not required

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance or Accounting; or Bachelor’s degree with equivalent work experience

Minimum of two (2) years of accrual accounting experience

Well-versed in Generally Accepted Accounting Principles

Intermediate to advanced skills in Excel, Outlook, and Word.

Intermediate skills in Adobe Acrobat and InDesign.

Knowledge of Salesforce preferred, knowledge of CRM database management required.

Knowledge of Intacct accounting software specifically preferred, however a knowledge of a centralized banking/accounting software shared among national offices extremely helpful

Knowledge of PeopleStrategy human resources software preferred, knowledge of an HR management system is required
