Cresa has hired two former Newmark Knight Frank professionals with a collective 45 years of experience to its global portfolio team who will work out of the Washington, D.C. office, according to the D.C.-based firm.
Cathrine Cotman and Theresa Hopkins-Johnson “will play an integral role as we grow and build upon the success of our Global Portfolio Solutions group to better serve our occupier clients,” Cresa CEO, Jim Underhill, said in a company statement.
As a global alliance director, Cotman will work to grow the company’s global portfolio solutions services and provide clients with “customized real estate offerings that align with overall business objectives,” according to the statement from Cresa. Hopkins-Johnson will work as the group’s global finance director, “providing financial strategy and streamlining accounting processes for Cresa’s portfolio accounts.”
Cotman previously served as a senior managing director at NKF. She also held positions at Cushman & Wakefield, Bank of America, Capital One Financial Corporation, Jones Lang LaSalle, and Prudential. Prior to joining Cresa, Hopkins-Johnson held multiple finance roles at NKF, CBRE and C&W.
In a prepared statement, Cotman said she joined Cresa because of its “unique occupier-centric platform and global service offering” which make the firm an “ideal partner for companies seeking real estate solutions to advance their business goals.” Hopkins-Johnson did not provide a comment on her new role.
Both Cotman and Hopkins-Johnson will report to Lisa Fry, Cresa’s Executive Vice President of enterprise accounts and global portfolio solutions group leader, according to a Cresa spokeswoman.
