One of Cresa’s core values is “Enhance Community”, and we take it seriously, working together to support the communities we live and work in across the globe. Through Cresa Cares, our 501c3 organization, we’ve raised over $1 million and donated more than 5,000 hours of volunteer work to more than 100 charities to date.
In light of the significant impact that the COVID-19 pandemic has had on so many across the world, we made the decision to donate $100,000 to relief efforts. We feel fortunate to be able to assist the following organizations in continuing the amazing work they are doing, with a donation of $25,000 to each:
No Kid Hungry
No Kid Hungry (NKH) is a national campaign focused on ending childhood hunger. The program partners with schools across the country to provide guidance and funding to make nutrition a regular part of each student’s day. Since the beginning of the pandemic, NKH has been working to ensure kids get three healthy meals daily. Learn more about how you can support the nonprofit.
Feeding America
Feeding America is the largest domestic hunger-relief organization in the United States. The organization provides food to people in need through a network of 200 food banks across the country. On average, the group feeds 40 million people each year, including 12 million children and 7 million seniors. As national hunger levels continue to rise amid COVID, Feeding America strives to meet demand. Support Feeding America and help solve hunger.
Meals on Wheels
Meals on Wheels delivers meals to individuals—particularly the elderly—at home who are unable to purchase or prepare their own. First started in the U.K. in 1948, the program has since grown to more than 5,000 independently run programs in the U.S., Canada and Ireland. Since March 1, meal requests have doubled in response to social distancing measures. Meals on Wheels and its volunteers continue to work to ensure its members are fed and safe. World Health Organization
Since 1948, the World Health Organization (WHO) has been working to “direct and coordinate international health within the United Nations system.” The organization is responsible for keeping the global public accurately updated on public health crises in real-time; they’ve played an important role in the communication of vital information during the current pandemic.
