Headspace, which offers a meditation app that claims to teach subscribers life-changing mindfulness skills to help them reduce stress, focus more and sleep better, signed a sublease for a full floor at 595 Market St. to establish an office in San Francisco.

The app maker agreed to lease the entire seventh floor measuring nearly 15,000 square feet formerly occupied by Calypso Technologies in the 30-story office tower at the corner of Montgomery and Market streets in the city's South Financial District. Constructed in 1979, the hexagon-shaped building has been owned by Tishman Speyer since 2003 according to CoStar information.

Brandon Leitner and Will Scovill of Cresa's San Francisco office marketed the sublease on behalf of Calypso Technologies.  The recently built-out space features high-end finishes with a term that runs through August of 2029, according to marketing materials for the space.

This will be the app maker's first office in San Francisco. It also has offices in Santa Monica, California, and London, England.

San Francisco's office sector sustained extensive losses during the pandemic but market conditions have begun to stabilize, although overall availability has continued to move higher in 2022 with landlords adjusting to lower office demand and the presence of discounted sublease space available throughout the market.
