Nicholas Markel has joined Cresa as a VP, based in the tenant rep firm’s Manhattan office. Before joining Cresa, Markel served as VP in Deutsche Bank’s corporate services real estate department.
Before that, he worked at Cushman & Wakefield, where he was promoted three times within five years, achieving the title of director.
Richard Selig, managing principal at Cresa, said that with more than a decade of experience representing both sides of commercial real estate transactions, Markel is “a formidable and knowledgeable advocate for businesses.”
Among Markel’s notable deals have been the relocation of the headquarters of Rockefeller Financial to 630 Fifth Ave.; the relocation of UGG Australia (Deckers) to a 15,000 square-foot office and showroom space at 1325 Ave. of the Americas; the $140-million sale of One Broadway; and the sale of a 40,000 square-foot commercial condominium at 633 Third Ave., on behalf of Mount Sinai Health Systems.
