Two-time NBA All-Star Carlos Boozer is launching a real estate career with his longtime broker and friend Katrina Campins of the Campins Company, according to an announcement. Boozer earned his real estate license last year. His role will focus on real estate services geared toward professional athletes, celebrities, and other wealthy buyers, the release says.
Boozer played in the NBA from 2002 to 2015 for four teams: the Cleveland Cavaliers, Chicago Bulls, Utah Jazz and Los Angeles Lakers. He represented the U.S. at both the 2004 and 2008 Olympics, earning medals both times. He completed his degree at Duke University in 2020 after he left college early to start his basketball career.
The commercial real estate services firm Cresa added two new advisers to its Miami office, according to a press release.
Benjamin Kuhn joined the firm from a property management role at WaterFront Realty Group, and will focus on business development and market research, the release shows. Alberto Martinez comes to Cresa following a brokerage internship at JLL, according to the release. His role in the industrial practice group will help with transaction management.
Cresa’s Miami team closed $160 million in deals and completed 136 projects last year, according to the release.
Andres Escobar, a New York-based interior designer and co-founder of the firm Lemay + Escobar, is moving to Miami to launch a new luxury design firm, according to an announcement.
Escobar’s new firm, Bespoke Masterpiece, is backed by Alexandre Matic, a Canadian developer, the release says. The firm will focus on luxury residential and hospitality design projects.
His first three South Florida projects are set to be completed this summer, the release says.
