Client Objectives
EA Engineering, Science and Technology, Inc. had grown into four separate locations, all within a three-mile radius, due to compulsory and immediate expansion needs as the result of growth beyond its original projections. Although convenient at the time, EA was strained by inefficiency and desired to consolidate these locations into a modern, state-of-the-art headquarters facility. The intent to increase synergy by bringing all scientific, regulatory, technical and operational processes under one roof would provide EA the opportunity to promote the company's message of environmental sustainability, as well as cultivate employee attraction, interaction, and retention. Results
Cresa carefully measured EA's needs, concerns, and requirements against all existing relocation opportunities within its geographic parameters, whether for lease or purchase, but found they would not provide EA with the proper allotted space, modern amenities, and an adequate possibility for sustainability. A consolidated build-to-suit, configured to meet the needs of all divisions, was the optimal solution.By using Cresa’s integrated approach to addressing its real estate needs, EA achieved the best possible tenant advantage. Careful consideration to the needs of EA, including cost, employee demographics, physical requirements, divisional interaction and common area standards, was provided. The developer constructed a customized, state-of-the art office building with a laboratory for EA at 225 Schilling Circle which is recognized by the U.S. Green Building Council as LEED certified Platinum.
