Cresa Employees Show They Care During Las Vegas Gathering

Yearly Event Raises Over $140,000 for Charities Workers Choose

More than 500 employees from brokerage Cresa gathered at the Red Rock Resort in Las Vegas this month for the company’s spring meeting and annual charity drive. Organized through Cresa Cares, a non-profit organization founded by the company, and produced by Katie Schweitzer, Karly McCarthy and Geoffrey Wowk, the yearly event raised more than $140,000, Cresa said. The funds will be disbursed to employee-picked charities through a golf outing, silent auction and a bowling tournament at the Red Rock Lanes.

Among the more than 50 bowling teams that rolled the rock were James Dam, Jacob Stelton, Jessica Dionne, Adrienne Waldron, Alison Scott, Craig Van Pelt and Cassie Stenson.

The Chicago-based company formed Cresa Cares in 2013 to help communities across the globe through volunteer initiatives and financial donations. Since then, the organization has raised over $1 million and donated more than 5,000 hours of volunteer work to more than 100 charitable organizations.

Among the organizations that have received support from Cresa Cares are the United Way, Walk to End Alzheimer's, Toys for Tots and Habitat for Humanity.
