Planet Labs reached out for Project Management services after their internal facilities manager left during the design phase to address significant project challenges: construction estimates that exceeded their budget, lease requirements and base building conditions that necessitated strict monitoring and coordination with the property manager, and a schedule that required team cooperation to move the project forward.
Results
After leading the team through a value engineering exercise to bring the project back on target, our team helped the client communicate effectively with the landlord, architect, and general contractor to successfully transition the project from early design into construction. Once in construction, efforts to maintain schedule were constant and required in depth problem solving. Ultimately, Planet Labs was overjoyed with their new space despite having to navigate a very challenging set of circumstances.
