Client Objectives

For 50+ years, Chernoff Newman has designed integrated marketing and strategic communications that are impactful, thought-provoking, influential and award-winning.  The company provides advertising, branding, marketing, public relations and crisis management strategies and services.

To acomodate it's growing team, the company needed to relocate. They wanted to be located near their client base and in an inviting space that encouraged team members to be in the office. They also needed the entire process managed from start to finish.

Results

Chernoff Newman selected uptown for its new office after spending approximately 16 months touring other properties in various sub-markets throughout Charlotte.  The company was attracted to uptown because of the visibility, energy and vibrance of being in the center of commerce and culture, and specifically to One Independence Center because of the multi-year repositioning of the asset that will conclude in Q3 2023 with the opening of the Monarch Market food court and covered outdoor seating area.

In addition to Cresa’s involvement with the transaction, project management services included furniture selection and procurement, structured cabling and audio-visual design/bidding/coordination, construction oversight, weekly progress reports, punch walk documentation and follow-up, move management, financial and schedule tracking and decommissioning of Chernoff Newman’s former office space.

The savings Cresa's project management team was able to capture on this project ended up outweighing the total fee for the service.
